Location: Point Lonsdale, Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Victoria, Australia This picture was taken from a nearby bunker to the Port Lonsdale lighthouse. The bunkers where placed at the opening to Port Phillip Bay before/during (I'm not sure) WW2 because it was thought that a sea attack would take place and they were put there for precautions. The Port Lonsdale lighthouse celebrated it's centenary in 2002 and is possibly the last manned lighthouse in Australia. It looks over The Rip, as it is known, one of the most notorious entrances to any bay in the world. More information can be found at this site: [link]   Comments

if yoo want another really kool place, go to the OTHER side... where the old base was.. all the lil tunnels and the HUGE turrets for what would have been HUGE cannons still.. i love this pic, the colors are gorgeous the exposure looks spot-on, and the composition works damn well  GO MEG!!!!! --  rangesims nice view

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
